Does your T work with objects? With objects I’m talking about symbols, soft toys, wood craft?
My current therapy team don't use their own, although they encourage me to use mine (funding issues with purchasing objects!). I have worked with a T in the past, though, who used objects, and it was immensely helpful, particularly for my very young parts.
I realize when he is appearing, now more than a few years ago
This is where you stop and bring out the grounding techniques like a full-on assault on the system!

You might also be able to recruit some of your other older, helpful parts to help you get the internal system back under control at this point. When my system becomes a mess, it's usually a bit of a team effort to re-stabilise. Some of my parts have really stepped up and taken on new, incredibly helpful roles with stuff like that.

Have you been able to recognise the things that trigger him? Even without journalling, I keep a running list. I have a small notepad in my handbag and I write down when I've been triggered and what I think the cause was. Just a few lines about the situation. It's been really helpful, partly because it adds the time and space and reasoned thought into the situation (which can help diffuse it), but also because it helps me remember. I don't usually need to refer back to the notepad - the process of writing down the situation usually sinks it into my memory really well.
You might know Pat Ogdens work?
No, but thanks for the reference because I'm always looking for good sources of info on different techniques. I'll look it up and find a book I can devour😊

Sideways.. this never came into my mind, something practical, something that I have control of.
Haven’t been able to talk about this for a while, as I’m finding myself infront of a brick wall.. not sure of finding ways to get to the otherside, to see other avenues.

Thank you for answering Sideways..

Very interested to hear about your T's approach to moving forward, since I'm trying to deal with a similar issue right now myself. Hope it goes well for you, but understand that parts aligned with the perpetrator are really difficult to manage and coexist with. Having an introject alter is next level, and I'm not coping with that situation so well right now. So sending courage and gentle compassion your way as you take this on.
What do you mean by introject alter? What does that look like behaviorally?

A great explanation of what an introject part is, in plain language, is here.
What does that look like behaviorally?
Behaviourally, it would express itself as my abuser (for want of better words) coming back to life, treating me like my abuser did, talking to me the way he did, and telling me to do the things he made me do.
