What’s your favorite?

So many favorite musicians, mostly guitar players, that cant or shouldnt sing. tough to pull out a favorite. Maybe Bob Dylan, maybe Randy Newman, nope, David Bromberg is my favorite bad singer, he is a great guitarist, but his singing is not his strong suit. He buys and sells top class violins as a side line, world famous among violin connoisseurs but largely unknown as a musician, cant and should not sing. Look him up.

favorite thing about 2023, so far?

Peak solar cycle causing extra bright auroras and farther from the poles than usual. I love that people get to see those—and it blesses everyone, no one is unimpressed!

Favorite mistake?

tiny little strappy dresses where if I bent over I would be indecent 🤭 I can wear them out of the house with bike shorts and a tank top underneath but at home don’t need those.

Favorite store for buying clothes?
Carhartt

ETA… there used to be a couple of tall-womens stores, one in the US & one in the UK, but both have closed. The US one about 10 years before the UK one, and the UK one “technically” isn’t closed, but their target is 5’8” and below now, instead of 5’10” and up. So there’s literally nowhere I can buy clothes for women off the rack. Even name brand clothes that used to have tall lines, no longer make them, so it’s not like I can just hit up Parasuco for some 38” inseam jeans. They did limited runs for those stores, and of course the model samples (which the models snag), but there’s no way to special order them. Most companies? Their “tall” is a 32” or 34” inseam. Pfft. That’s just below my knees. And don’t get me started on the lasagne noodle silhouette when the wide bust is on your sternum, the narrowed waist is on your boobs, the hips are on your waist, the legs are on your hips. UGH. NO. PASS.

Anyone who has ever accidentally been shopping in the petite section (or vice versa)? Now imagine ALL stores only sell the “wrong” ratios. :P

But? I can buy tall (6 foot plus, 36-40” inseams) scrubs & mens coats at Carhartt!
