Well as I expected hubby has wobbled quite a bit. Not to the extent of having to go to bed, just enough to let him know he has pushed himself today.

He actually admitted to me about 3 hours ago, that he had been avoiding doing a lot of things over the past year or more. But now knows he has to get himself out there, so he can live the life he wants to do, and will be going back out for another walk, to the same place or further on Monday.

No not ketchup LB it has to be BBQ sauce every time. :D

This is a translation problem.
Chips = french fries (IMHO best slightly soggy)

Butty = sandwich (again IMHO white bread, either sliced or bun, preferably sliced)

When I was pregnant with first daughter I was very nauseus, every night everything I'd eaten would come back. This went on for 5 months. I didn't want to eat, nothing appealed. We were visiting friends and went out to a really smart restaurant, I turned to H as they were discussing what to have and said you know what I could eat, a chip butty! The mark of a good restaurant - they broought chips, bread and vinegar:D

(((((((((Kath)))))))!!!

Just the thought of eating soggy fries wrapped in white bread makes me feel somewhat nauseous.
You have me howling :D for that to be the one thing you could eat then :D
Too funny!!!! :D

You know, I'm going to be brave, there is a restaurant near here that serves the very best "chips", they have vinegar and bread... I'm going to ask for that and make and try a chip butty! I so love my friends across the pond!

Success again today. We were out for about 2 hours today, including calling for a coffee on our way back, no chip butty though. They don't do them there LOL. Oh well coffee was good though.

The first photo we saw a kestrel being attacked by a Gull, must have been a nest close by. The second and third are a group of ducks we saw close the river bank. The last one is not very clear, but it is one of a pair of Goldfinches we have feeding on the Nyger seed we put out. I saw a flash of its red face, but was not quick enough to catch it on camera.

DIH the chips have to be thick cut, they should not be soggy then, not the thin fries that are so common. You get the taste just right then. :D

Amethist

Wonderful, Amethist!

I love it when you take us on "Walkies!" with you! :D
It's fun hearing about your adventures, wonderful seeing your pictures, and very encouraging (from a fighting the urge to isolate point of view). You make the world look exciting, fun, beautiful, safe and life-enhancing: and so it is (most of the time)!

Thank you for teaching me about Chip Butties!
The restaurant I'm thinking of going to, makes that kind of very thick, hot, fresh, potato-y chips :D Yummy!

((((((((((((Amethist))))))))))))))!
You're a delight!
Much love,
Deer

A message from my husband. The expert on how a chip butty should be.

"The bread has to be buttered, and best if you have soft bread rolls, or thick sliced bread will do".

Looks like I have started something here. LOL.
