The list of 'Feelings' I got from the T.'s just...not good enough for the stew of labile emotions that is my PTSD.

This thread is for us to come up with new words to describe our mess 'o feelings.

From Wikipedia: "Sniglet is a neologism, popularized by comedian/actor Rich Hall during his tenure on the 1980s HBO comedy series Not Necessarily the News. Each episode of the monthly series featured a regular segment on sniglets, which Hall described as "any word that doesn't appear in the dictionary, but should". Hall's own sniglets, along with submissions by fans, were compiled into several books, starting with Sniglets and More Sniglets."

My first one:

Barkruptional - The feelings associated during the building up of piled on annoyance after annoyance that results in finally lashing out in greatly disproportionatly negative and loud fashion to the poor person asking you to please [name your mundane everyday action here, such as passing the salt, grabbing a napkin, turning down the tv.]

As in: "Honey, please leave me alone. I'm feeling Barkruptional."

Phlegmemrastress: The tightness/pain/constriction/choking/bounding heart rate feelings array of bizarre symptoms felt in one's chest when one has been triggered by an avalanche of memories and/or associate worries. Characterized by intense feelings of constriction of the chest completely unrelated to any diagnosable cardio- &/or pulmonary issue. Often labelled by non-believing medical practitioners as 'Anxiety Attack' when presenting in the E.R. for 'rule out myocardial infarction'...

As in: "Nope, I wasn't dying. Just some Phlegmemrastress."

CELEGRATING: the act of acknowledging an event that would normally bring forth good feelings and comfort, but instead brings pain, resentment, and guilt.

As in: "Yes, I called my abusive (fill in the blank, here). S/he's celegrating his/her (insert BS dumb obligatory empty card-buying event here).

Lurktrusive: That state of intrusive thoughts when they don't explicitly form inside your conscience, but lurk around on the very edge of it. You can feel them lurking there, staring, getting ready for an impending assault; you try to occupy yourself, take your mind off that feeling, but the feeling of those thoughts lurking there is acting all intrusive.

F*ck-up-prehension: The feeling you have while that goes on, or some other nasty thing is brooding in your psyche, not yet identifiable, but promising to be all that and more.
