I was considering getting a service dog for PTSD. I know it might sound strange. I had issues with conversion disorder they said it was related to the PTSD. It's caused a lot of physical symtoms I thought an animal might be able to help me with emotional stuff and maybe lessen the symtoms of the conversion disorder.

I just wanted to know if anyone has an animal for PTSD. I have a friend who got one it's so helpful for him.

My service dog is Nugget. Everyone is probably sick of hearing about her too. I woke myself moaning tonight and I could hear her running into my room. She jumped on the bed, flopped next to me and licked my eyes. She is a big girl - mastiff/great dane/St. Bernard and weighs 70k.

My Service Animal is Sasha or Big Girl as I call her on here. She helps me mainly at home but often accompanies in the car and sometimes in stores if I need her. She is certified and was trained by a friend and myself to accompany me for my social anxiety but her true calling seems to be to catch it when the flashbacks hit me. She has an amazing ability to sense them before I can begins licking my hand and herding me to a halt especially if we are out of the house.

Here is a picture of her, she always looks stoic in her pictures!

well before I notice a panic attack is imminent and if we're in a store she pulls me to an exit.
