How Much Water Do You Drink?

I usually drink loads of water but it is just too cold! Brrrrrr!.

Told the nutritionist this yesterday, that it is harder in the winter time. She said she drinks hot water with lemon.

I drink hot water all the time. I don't have lemon because I don't like it, so it's just plain water. It was easy to get used to and it makes me miss tea and coffee less (although I still have herb tea and green tea). I fill a 1 litre vaccuum flask and then keep pouring out of it and sipping. I try to have two flasks a day.

This is better for me than cold water because with hot water I drink it more slowly and evenly. I tend to knock back cold water like shots, which isn't good but I can't be bothered to sip that.

I am working out. My body asks for more water because I have been stressed and strained for long time. I drink 1 liter and it is helping me.

Dear gizmo, how is your health? Are you able to find any answer for drinking water regularly? Just thought to update the thread.

I hope you don't mind me asking questions.

Jaret, I do not mind you asking questions. My health is fine. I drink alot of water. I drink cold ice water from the time I get up in the morning until I go to bed. I go through alot of ice.

I was just curious how much water people drank. I am addicted to drinking water. I used to take water with me in the car when I went places and I kept on losing my water bottles so I only take ice water with me in the car when I have to go somewhere now.

I think drinking so much water is the healthiest thing that I do for myself.

I try to drink lots. I drink mostly water, then some amounts of milk, juice, tea, and beer, and thats it. Sometimes mixed drinks with liqour and other things but thats rare enougth it shouldnt count.

In the summertime here, it gets well over 100F many days, but is a very very dry heat. If I am just sitting around doing nothing I start to feel hot and stuffy and uncomfortable, and I will actually feel much much cooler if I go for a mnt bike ride, the reason being that I will break a sweat, then ride a bike which creates wind, combined with the fun of mnt biking, I don't notice the heat any more, but I've found I must drink a lot more water, and replace electrolytes too of course. For a 6 hour ride in 115 degree heat on a sunny day, I've brought brought my 100oz and 80 oz water bladders, emtpied them, refilled them at the one point on the ride that has tap water, and just about emptied them both again before getting back to the car. I probably drank about 2 and a half gallons in 6 hours.

I try and drink a lot anyways though. Its good for you. Flushes out toxins, it even helps little glands in your mouth produce more saliva which means less cavities.

I drink lots of water and I also consume large quantities of crushed ice. The ice chewing keeps me grounded and has a calming affect on me. I have unquenchable thirst many days. I remember always being thirsty as my trauma was happening. I wasn't allowed to leave him to get water. Not sure if its related...I guess I've never really explored that.

I use to do this. We've even run out of ice because of it and my husband has had to pick some up. I'm not sure when it stopped, but it was only in the last year. Now when my husband hears me he is surprised. I read it could be due to low iron. Don't know. All I know is that it was a need I could not stop the desire was so strong. Once it stopped so did my large consumption of water and gatorade. It is so odd, but better for my teeth I guess.

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one!

When you have trauma, you may get to super stress level. That absorbs your energies and leaves your tired or exhausted. When I started drinking more water almost near to 1 liter. Dramatically my stress level down. I feel like I am getting energized because of water.

I just was thinking, when I was drinking less water my lips used to torn. Now it is gone. I am getting happier with this health thing.

You could find another things, too to maintain your health. if you are not healthy, but you can give yourself healthy things. That way you will reach full health.
