I agree. I am not sure how much we can. At least those who have very rigid thinking.

It is all stressing me out. I would like it to stop. I know that is not going to happen, but I wish it would.

Yes. Me too. I am experiencing retraumatization. I am horrified at the cruelty the corruotion the no stop purposeful chaos..

I am grateful we have the ability to vent here. Thank you to all.
I come to MYPTSD for peace of mind and healing direction.

I find the current American administration to be traumatizing.
The cruelty, the corruption, the nonstop purposeful chaos is triggering by design.

It is good that I can come here to this thread and read other peoples' thoughts.
But the concept of other people ignoring or justifying the cruelty, corruption and purposeful chaos is sad.
The world IS full of dissenting opinions. Always will be. So is the Supreme Court.

So perhaps I should avoid this thread when I'm stressed (most of the time. lol).
And that choice is all mine to make.

If any of you find the solution, please post it somewhere.
In the meantime let peace love and fellowship guide your healing.

And you won't find any of that in American politics right now.

So trump wants Nato allies to come to his rescue in the middle east. Well Nato is a Defensive organisation, dosent he realise that. By Nato allies helping him attack Iran then they'd be betraying their oath and what Nato stands for. The US left us to deal with Russia on our own, said he dosent need Nato and then wants our help... this will all end very badly...

Or...some intelligent people will sit trump down (the idiot that he is) and make him see sense about a few things.

Yes. The chaos the misinformation the non stop stimulus whether we have ptsd or not results in activation of the amyhdala not use of pre frontal cortex and resultant bad decisions. It is intentional. Using AI is part of it. I have been setting harder and harder boundaries. Standing up to this. Saying NO. Relationships ended. No one seems to have filters or boundaries. For me since I get social security I have been emailing or calling the members of the senate and Congress in my state for almost a year and half to preserve it. I have had to pull back again harder skills I learned in domestic violence treatment and trauma recovery to cope with this. I relate to your post and the feelings you express. You are spit on.

That isn't a personal attack, certainly not by MyPTSD community constitution definition. If calling someone blind or ignorant was an attack, nothing would get written here. People can be blind to things, they can be ignorant.

Both sides of US politics do stupid shit. Both do corrupt shit. Neither of those two statements are an attack either. They're just factual. Where there are people in power, people do stupid shit to benefit themselves and their family.

Trump is anything but an idiot. The issue, is trying to see through all the Trumpism and noise to see what his actual desired outcome is. That's like saying Biden was an idiot. Biden, before his mental decline, was extremely intelligent, he just wasn't for his presidential term and absolutely suffered Alzheimer's or similar close to the start of his term, thus Biden was not running America for nearly the entire term. That can happen to any elderly person.

I don't agree. It dosent take much intelligence to use psychological manipulation. Most people can see through that. But comments like "can't we inject ourselves with disinfectant" to cure covid, or taking the piss out of disabled people or his constant narcissistic fantasy land that he lives in, talking about himself and his accomplishments for endless amounts of times. Telling people migrants are "eating their pets". When meeting European leaders recently he was focused on telling the press how the Italian prime minister was really beautiful, (she was squirming and vexed in the background) like that was the only good thing about her, she's really intelligent.

And I understand their are certain things he's good at and some things I agree with him on but, his team are above the law. Pam bondi is a nutcase. Having drug runners killed rather than arresting them and processing them through the courts. Constantly saying how he's the president not to start any wars when "Americas plan for years was to police the world, he's just a puppet like all the rest. And I'm not saying that because I disagree with alot of the changes that have been made because I'm the type of person that sees the big picture. America said a long time ago, "do you really think we'd have the real President of America on show"? These people are puppets, hes going to have to execute Americas plan just like all the former presidents. I'm not judging people because I've made mistakes in my life that I'm not proud of like many people. But people in his team are nuts. It's really detrimental to America and its people that he and his team behave the way they do. And I forgot that guy who made out paracetamol causes autism. His health secretary that was a cocaine user that can barely speak. They employ really dumb people.
