I wanted to share this with you all after the tough time I have medically had of late impacting on my work..... it made me cry.....actually sob as I feel like I have been through the wringer and back.
Nicolette, (I still want to shorten your name so I’m going to give you a nickname),
From the day you walked into my office, I felt a huge sense of satisfaction. After so many years spent in the dark being misguided by Rxxxxxx and also Cxxxxx before him, it was an absolute relief to have someone as passionate and most importantly thorough, as you are, take control of the mess I was left in. You could not possibly understand how frustrating it was having Rxxxxxx work on my books, but to then be blessed with someone so passionate about their work as you are, is far more than I could ever have wished for.
When the ATO tells you that “your clients are so lucky to have you” I think to myself if only they knew how much of an understatement that is. Your knowledge of all things bookkeeping, and your dedication to all of us whilst you battle through your current health challenges, is something to be admired.
You deserve to be given special consideration by the tax department, and definitely don’t deserve to be dealing with what you currently have in front of you. I only wish I could take it away from you, so you could get on with your life.
I am constantly telling my girls, it doesn’t matter what you choose to do in life, the most important thing is try and be the best at it. No better example could I give them than you Nicolette. You seem to be a perfectionist in all things you do, and I can’t tell you how much I admire you for being that way. Imagine how wonderful this world would be if we all took a leaf out of your book. People would not take short cuts just to get the job looking like its finished in order to be paid, they would take responsibility for their actions, instead of hiding behind others, and perhaps the younger generations would learn that nothing in life is handed to you on a platter. Hard work and dedication, although its such a cliché, are truly the only way to be successful in this world, and you epitomize that. All power to you.
Thank you for your dedication to my business. I am so grateful to have you on my team.
Richard.
