A Reason To Live: Fighting Suicidal Thoughts

The main reason I live is for my family and love ones, I admit I once feel a suicidal mood but I deeply think it first because once done, I cannot redo it anymore.

I live for my children. I would not put them through a lifetime of knowing their mother killed herself.
I live for my children. Their smiles and their cuddles and all the wonderful things they are and do are worth living for.
I live for my children. To show them that no matter how hard things get, no matter what we go through in life, we can keep fighting through the pain to get to a better place.
I live for my children. I want to show them to never give up, but sometimes it is okay to ask for help.
I live for my children. To show them what good parenting is, so that they will be good parents themselves.
I live for my children. I want to see them grow into wonderful adults, see who they will become, see them get married, love their children, my future grandchildren.
I live for my children. Because they are worth it.
I live for my children. I love them that much.

I'm glad you're still here too Monster, and so sorry that your T didn't get back to you. Hanging in there for someone else is always so hard, because nobody understands the size of that struggle unless they've been there themselves.

Please know that you only have to make that promise to yourself. You deserve to live for *you*, not for anyone else, and even if you don't feel that right now, that belief will come back to you. It always has in the past, because you're still here, right?

Take care of yourself - you deserve it.

I'm here for my kids and my husband.
I'm here because I have things to do, places to go, and stuff to paint.

I'm a big fan of the Viktor Frankl book "Mans Search For Meaning". He was a concentration camp survivor and he wrote about the will to live. He calls his kind of therapy Logotherapy. In a self help sense I think that was the most important psychology book I have ever read.
