Even though I'm not a survivor of a mass shooting, seeing people crying, freaking out, losing their loved ones, bleeding etc. on the news triggers me. My heart goes out to all those involved...

Unfortunately, I don't think we will get some gun control in the US anytime soon. If folks didn't think it was enough after Sandy Hook, when 5 and 6 year old kids were shot, they won't do anything for older people or kids. Many people in the US, but the "Dickey Amendment" from 1997 prevents our CDC and Congress from even studying the issue of gun violence in our country. How are we going to make any changes when we can't even do the basics? It's very sad...

We had 11 school shootings in the month of January. That's one almost every other day. There is something very wrong with our society that we have children killing children and can't seem to stop it

There have been 18 school shootings just this yr according to the news. When will it end??? In 1992 Wayne Lo killed 2 and injured 2 in a school shooting in Great Barrington Ma. very very close to where I live. I knew one of the people that worked there and survived the shooting. 26 yrs later we’re still hearing about this shit.

I’m tired of hearing, “people kill, guns don’t”. “We have the right to bear arms”. How many more people have to die before we seriously take up the conversation of gun control??? The US, is the ONLY country that has this horrific shit going on!!!!!

So, yes, when will it end???????

That‘s actually not true what you say about the USA being the only country where such things happen @She Cat. Just a few weeks ago a teenage boy went on a stabbing rampage here in Germany because he believed his classmates had given his mother disrespectful looks, killing one classmate with a kitchen knife, wounding several others.
Actually knive crimes have become very common here... still I am happy he had no access to guns because with a gun he had most likely killed more.

@Never_falter I’m speaking of school shootings and guns. Guns cause way more damage and loss of life than knifings. We have lost so many children to school shooting and then there are the mass shooting at public venues. It’s now sickening... It NEEDS to end.....
