I really hate cognitive distortions. I often struggle with jumping to conclusions which I see myself doing and beat myself up for doing and have a hard time stopping. Taking things personally which I always beat myself up for. And I often overgeneralize and have catastrophic thoughts. It's not fun. I get stuck inside my head screaming at the thoughts myself the emotions or the people who caused me to have PTSD.
 
Wow I went for number one - all or nothing thinking yesterday and last night - like I was going for gold. I really have to write these out again! It got me hook, line and sinker!
 
Whenever I see lists like these, quantify my issues... then me recognizing I have like all of them... is so distressing. I think I'm getting so far in my healing only to realize... no you still got a lot of issues! I find myself quite reasonably well off considering my starting point but now I want to start boxing in my speech and thoughts. Going overboard trying to figure out which speech or thought has distorted thinking. But I want to do this on a very detailed level... then I recognize I have done it before but not in such a detailed way. Instead I allow thing out organically and see the bigger picture first. Then I start sorting out my distorted thoughts. Seems to work but it seems like I've gotten nowhere when I realize how far I have yet to go.

I must resist the urge to overwork myself sorting myself out and getting lost in the details. Silly perfectionist me. At least I hate doing that much crazy obsessed work~
 
It is amazing how many people don't know about these ones - and not long ago I was one of them. That is quite a sobering thought.
