If you want to clear your mind and think clearly then Basil is very good for this. Juniper berry is also good for stress as are , Cyprus, Mandarin, Geranium, Cedarwood, Marjoram and Patchouli.

Thank you Amethist. I never knew this oils are just couple of mins away from my home. Most of them are available in my city and I will plan to buy them.:D

May I ask one more query, how to apply them? In hair? :O_o:

For digestion problems. I frequently get ulcers and throat infection. I have become allergic to this two.

Please read these post before you use the oils jaret.

Never put them neat onto your skin Jaret. The best way to use them for stress is to drop a few drops onto a tissue or cotton ball and carry it with you, having a smell of it when you feel the stress building up.

Remember you only need a very small amount as they are highly concentrated.

They are not a permanent fix, but will help you at that point in time.

For ulcers and throat infections, I would see a doctor. I am not confident enough to suggest anything you could use, as these are internal problem and essential oils should not be use for internally.

Thanks amethist. I read recently about essential oils not being good for cats...so I have ceased with teh room spray and switched to incense sticks instead.

you can use them sparingly Phillipa. I spray my room when our cat is not in the same room.

As room sprays you make up yourself are well diluted, they should be OK to use if you take a bit of care.

You are right though using essential oils directly on your cat should not be done.

Oh I would never use them directly onto my cat. I usually wait until she isn't in the room if I do spray it anyway, but I wondered if maybe the particle falling to the carpet and then her walking on them, then licking her paws, might be bad for her?

Thanks.

I would not thinks so Phillipa. It is well diluted in the spray then spread out even further as you spray it, so the bits she does pick up will be so minute, it should be safe.

I use my own sprays all the time, and so far my own cat is fine.

I just make sure that she is not in the same room I am spraying so none falls on her, and she cant breath the spray in before it settles.

Using them directly on your cat is when the problems can really occur.

Hi Amethist, I am going to a job interview on Tuesday and was thinking some aromatherapy might help me to be less anxious and more confident. Do you have any suggestions?
