At The Movie Theater

Hi all,

Right now, here in Germany, some great (or so they seem) movies are playing in the theaters. One of them is 'Life of Pi'. I read the book and can't wait for the movie. Will go on 26 or 27 December. Has anyone of you seen it?

Also, I want to see 'Jesus loves me', a German movie based on the book by David Safier. It's a comedy and it seems funny!

And: '7 Psychos', 'The Hobbit' (probably going to see that one on 24 December in the morning.

Would also be interested in 'Jack Reacher', but don't want to give any money to Scientology!

What current movies are you interested in? Any suggestions?

I would LOVE to see "Life of Pi" and "The Hobbit" and "Guilt Trip".

I'll see them on Netflix eventually...sigh!

The Life of Pi sounds interesting. Haven't read the book. I know my son wants to see the Hobbit. Don't know much of what movies are out there. Haven't been to see one in quite some time.

Forgot to say we saw the 7 Psychopaths... being a fan of Christopher Walken... we liked it a lot. But it is not for everybody. Strange and unusual is pretty much my genre though.

@Albatross: It's called '7 Psychopaths' in English? I' a fan of Christopher Walken, too. Since you mentioned "strange and unusual", I am now really looking forward to watching it. :)

@Gizmo and Movin'On: What is 'Guilt Trip'? Have never heard of it. Then again, we get them late due to the necessary dubbing.

I saw a clip from Life of Pi the other day and it looked amazing! I read the book a while ago and I have no idea how they are going to get some of the scenes in to a film...

I bet The Hobbit will be amazing too. We haven't been to the cinema in years - in fact the last thing we saw there was Finding Nemo!!!

Guilt trip is a Barbara Streisand movie. It is a comedy about a overbearing mom going with her son on a road trip.

Finding Nemo

That was cute. I like animated movies for the graphics (seriously). Some don't have a real story though. I just watched a trailer of 'Wrecking Ralph' and laughed out loud, so I'd like to see that. Then I checked the German trailer (the other one was the original one on a dvd of another movie) and it was soooo boring. Not a good translation!

Now I'm trying to find the original version (OV) somewhere; and if I have to, I'll wait for the dvd. :)

I had two horrid panic attacks at the theater, but I didn't recognise them, since I didn't get panic attacks then. I'm kind of afraid to go now, but I would like to see, Life of Pi", 'Jack Reacher' and "The Hobbit". Maybe we will go next week.
