Tomorrow I am moving out of my mom's home to an apartment in town with some friends. This means no more staying up all night long to make sure someone doesn't sneak into my room. I was going to stay with my mom for the summer, but it's making me crazy! Even though I'm an adult now, her husband still won't leave me alone. And she still won't do anything about it. She told me to move out because he kissed me when I accidentally fell asleep on the couch last week. She also keeps saying she has some kind of plan to divorce him and that the only reason she stayed with him was to keep me safe. Keep your enemies close.... Sure, mom, that makes sense. But anyway, it doesn't matter, because I am gone tomorrow! :)
I'm so excited to have a safe place to live now. There's even an alarm system in the apartment, so I don't have to worry about him showing up and breaking in. I mean, he doesn't know exactly where I'm going, but he has been known to track me down and just show up in the past. So the alarm is definitely going to help my peace of mind. And then at the end of the summer, as soon as I get my teaching assignment, I am out of state. And no one will ever find me. At that point, I plan on sleeping 8 hours every night. It's gonna be awesome!
