This may seem small but I have starting talking to a therapist!
In the past, I have had a bad experience with a therapist and refused to see one after that. Then a month ago, I was dragged to a group therapy session where I found out that the therapist in charge was one of my professors. That was an experience. A few days later, she pulled me into her office to discuss our interesting predicament. During that time she asked a few questions and it was by far the most comfortable I have been when talking to somebody.
It's been about a month since she pulled me into her office but I went and saw her today. I had a situation occur a few days ago that I needed to verbally process. I am not one to reach out and verbally express myself but it was really needed. At the end of our meeting she told me that she would be willing to fit me into her schedule weekly.
She is giving me some time to think it through, but I have decided that it would be best for me. I'm rather nervous but at the same time I am looking forward to it. This is a small step but it's moving forward! It won't be an easy route but I'm ready to see where it takes me. :)
