Cant Get To Sleep - Mother In Law Is Coming To Stay

I should be in bed asleep! But the mother in law is coming tomorrow to stay 2 nights and hubby is working so I have to pick her up from the airport and entertain her. I am so nervous about this im freaking out! Its not that she is a horrible person or anything like that I just get really nervous and uncomfortable around her and feel like im not good enough for her son :(

I find people usually love talking about themselves, can you get her talking about herself and the rest of the family on the way home?

Its not just the drive, I have to entertain her for 2 days while hubby is at work. I have talked to my T about her visit and we have been through things I can do with her while she is here, but I still worry.
I have such low self esteem and am always worrying what people think of me. I wish I didn't care what others think it would make life so much easier!

Has she ever indicated that SHE doesn't think you are good enough for her son? And even if she has, the only thing that matter is what HE thinks!

Can you take xanax or something while she is there so you aren't so stressed?

Hubby isn't taking time off to visit with his mom? I think he should take at least a day and take some of the pressure off of you.

Thanks all for the replys. Managed to get some sleep yay.
He cant take time off he has only been in his job 3 months and there have just been 2 redundancies (everyone had to write a letter why they should be kept on and he wrote that he is flexible to work any days needed etc so didn't feel he could ask for a day off straight after he found out his job was safe!)
I just have to get through the next 2 days!!

Hey thanks heaps for checking back it. I made it through the weekend with her. Was hard to try and fill in time to keep her entertained but managed to get through. Hubby has today off although her flight is at 11.30am so not much of the day to spend with her but at least its not me on my own that has to take her to the airport!
