Ooo, love Daft Punk too.
Get to go watch my 9 year old sing a couple of solos in his school choir today and get an end of year award today. Going to be a proud Mama kind of day, which I need with my physical health getting me down of late. Although will have to dope myself up lots to sit through the hour... last time I was this doped up in hospital I was swearing like a sailor on leave... hopefully I can remember not to at his school! 😂 🤪

I do that, too.

I'm sorry you are having to take so much medication, recently. It's hard. I am in a similar boat just now and opted to stay in the car when I went to town today because I knew I had enough pain meds in my system to get mouthy with someone in the store (again). So, it was drive-thru pharmacy, grocery pick up, and straight home.

Best of luck at the school. I envy the celebration of the kids, but not the being on pain meds and in a large group of people at the school.

Just checking in and also trying to learn more about the effects of childhood emotional neglect. I read one small article about it and it has piqued my interest. Seems it can be as damaging as abuse in some ways. Anyway, I am drinking some cafe' style coffee with caramel creamer and browsing the site a bit, trying to get woke up and functional (if that is even possible). *wink wink, nod nod

PS: Oh, by the way, thank you Ms. Spock for the food, it is a nice treat and a good way to start the day. 🙂

I was lucky to have an older sister who taught me a lot of things that our parents had failed to teach us. She learned these things from friends and passed them on to me. I was saved from neglect by her. Also, we had neighborhood kids who we hung out with, and their parents generally watched over us too. So I had to deal with abuse from my grandfather and emotional abuse from my father, but thank goodness not neglect.
