I'm still better at helping others than askin' for it myself.
I'm sorry to say I have worked for 2 different law enforcement agencies and they are worse than the regualr civis in my experience. Now don't get me wrong, there are at least some good folks anywhere you go if you look hard enough. But just an example of what I saw, when I started at the jail I was on the graveyard shift with 2 guys. The CPL and the shift SGT. These guys were BEST friends. I mean I thought they might have something going on at first. Then after I had been there for about two months it came out that the shift SGT was screwing the CPL's wife. And back stabbing like that was the norm at both places I worked. I have since sworn off any job that requires a badge. I'm sure there are prolly some that have gone to law enforcement and loved it. But for me I did not find the brotherhood I was looking for. I just found another reason to hate civis.Yeah just been on that kind of rant lately. Just tired maybe. Glad I got a place like this. I can let it out and not be judged. And I know ya'll absolutely got my back. Only military people know what that means. I sometimes with I'd stayed in the corps. There's still politics and all the rest but when the shit hits the fan you always know that people will risk their own lives to save yours.
There is just no civilian equivelent, except maybe fireman and police.
I'm still better at helping others than askin' for it myself. Gotta' lot of work to do there. Thanks Guys.

Jar, stick with me, bud. I'm sicker than a dog right now and ain't cuttin it, so I guess we can just lean on each other to keep vertical.
Yeah I am pretty shocked by the way that most (not all) of the law enforcement guys I have met conduct them selves. The word professionalism just doesn't seem to mean much to them. In most cases I am embarrassed for whatever dept they represent.arwar --- while I was deployed out to Lebanon my best friend I went to bootcamp, medic training, and our first command together was screwing my ex wife.. it happened in service too... but feel you on everything else.. ya you weren't around then but ohh I guess it was March a guy at the complex here fell in the pool and drowned... I pulled him out and the cop that helped me get him up the steps and started CPR on the guy is an ass... The other day I saw him outside, walked up and wanted to tell him thanks for caring enough to try... for taking over for me as I was too worn out to go too far with CPR after the swim in.. basically to greet him as a brother... I stuck out my hand, he looked at me and opened the gate to the pool and walked in, and began flirting with some girl in there...
