DRAMBUIE

1 tup of single cream
1/2 oz caster sugar
Malt Whiskey.

METHOD

Whisk up the cream until light but not thick.
Add caster sugar.
As you whisk, gradually add the whisky and mix in well
don't add to much whisky as it will sour the cream.
Once done pour the mixture into a long glass and drink.
ENJOY
PS. You can add ice cubes when in glass.

Cast iron any one?

This is great camp food. I like cooking on an open fire with cast iron Dutch Ovens. This one always pleases, and is easy.

1 Yellow onion cut up
1/2 pound bacon cut into bite size pieces
1/2 pound ground breakfast sausage
12 beat eggs
1/2 each green and red bell peper cut up
grated cheese the more the marrier

Place a 6 quart seasoned dutch oven on a pretty marm pile of coals
Cook the onion, bell pepers, sausage and bacon (yes all together). Remove the meat and some of the fat. Cook the eggs, useing some of the fat, when the eggs are mostley cooked add the meat back in along with the cheese over the top. Place the lid on the oven. Put some coals on the lid and bake for twenty minutes. ENJOY!:thumbs-up Yes, this feeds several people. This works well in a oven safe pot in the kitchen as well.

BTW Practice befor trying it while camping, heat controle is the key. Things can go bad quick if you don't controle the heat.

Mince and Tatties

1/2 lb beef mince
1 onion
2 carrots
1/2 turnip
4 potatoes
1/2 pint beef stock.
salt
pepper

Add a little oil to a pot and chop the onion and sweat for 10 mins, add sliced carrot, and chopped turnip, and saute for another 5 mins.
Break up the mince and add to the pot, cook mince until brown.
Add your stock and cook for 25 mins.
Peal your potatoes and cut up and put in a pan of water with a pinch of salt. And boil for 20 mins until soft.
Check the mince and add a touch of salt and pepper.
Once potatoes are ready, drain them and mash them with a little butter and milk.
Serve up the mince into a casserole dish and put the mashed potato into a bowl and then serve.
Enjoy.

Cheers

juicer recipes?

Does anyone have any good recipes for your juicer? I can't digest whole fruits and vegetables right now, so I have to juice everything. The fruit juice is pretty good but the vegetable juice is scary gross a lot of the time. So if anyone has a recipe that tastes not so bad please share it!

Hi Batgirl, here's one for you, I know what you mean with veggie juices! but these taste pretty good:

1 carrot, 1 orange, 7oz beetroot

another is juiced carrots mixed with apple juice. I find adding a little water makes them easier to digest sometimes.

and tomato and orange (not so keen on this one though)

I've been experimenting making my own mixes. Apple and white grape are good fruit juice to mix with and then add sweeter vegetables to them. I'm going to experiment with adding some spinach and broccoli to apple. Lets work some out together! I'll post my results.

What are you trying to do to poor Evie, Claire. Give her a doze of the "Runs" with that recipe. Have you tried it, and did you have plenty of toilet paper for afterward, LOL.
Scott:rofl:

No Scott lol I don't get the runs from juice, I get sick if I eat whole fruits and vegetables, hence why I have to juice everything. There are a lot of foods I can't digest whole. I have a tiny stomach (only 20% normal size), no duodenum, and part of my small intestine is gone now too.

Thanks Claire I never thought of beetroot, I will have to try that one. When you say you mix apple juice and white grape juice, do you mean juice that you're already bought in the store? I'm not permitted bought juice.... have to use all fresh ingredients.

For a while I was making a juice of 2 carrots, 1 green apple, 2 small radishes and a slice of green pepper. It was actually pretty good but I'm a bit sick of it now. Cucumber is really disgusting as juice, so is rhubarb. I don't think I'd like tomato either, as I don't like regular tomato juice. Melons are good, they make a lot of juice and are sweet too, I added a bit of broccoli to melon juice a couple of times and didn't taste the broccoli much.

How about soups?

Hello Evie, yes I did mean shop bought apple/grape. If you're not allowed the shop stuff then just try and balance it so its more apple and less carrot or other veggie. So you get more of the sweetness and yummy fruit and less of the revoluting but good for you flavour! Have you tried homemade soups too? My mum's been making a carrot soup recently, I'm not sure whats in it but its carrot and something else. I'll ask her if you like.

Scott: just get back to your deep fried mars bars washed down with Iron Bru! You're not ready for this kind of thing yet!

Hi Claire, how are you. No my friend I don't eat Deep Fried Mars Bar, disgusting stuff. I like Iron Bru, which is actually very good for you. And I eat a lot of pasta and things like that. How was the Isle of Wight. And I make a mean Sausage Stroganoff, its brilliant. So put that in your pipe and smoke it, as we say up hear.

Evie, why don't you make yourself a good Scotch Broth soup, just like your Gran in Scotland used to make. That is guarenteed to fill you up and its great on a cold winters day. Or make yourself a big plate of Scott's Porridge Oats. Great Stuff.
