It is hard to believe that the hurricane is supposed to come here to die. Right now it is a balmy summer's day, light breezes, sunny, birds singing. I hope the weatherman is WRONG!

Hot and humid today. I'll take it. A couple of days ago it was cold and rainy. This is my favorite time of year. Fall in the Northwest is beautiful and unfortunately way too short. I hope our friends and family on the East coast are safe. She looks brutal! ✌

I am in the outer edges of Florence now. It is pretty tame so far. No major mishaps, not high winds or torrential rains. Time will tell if this changes, but so far so good!

Not sure why my last post says Northwest. I'm in the Midwest.... Another absolutely gorgeous day here. Hot and sunny. Almost put the A/C on but there's a nice breeze coming off the lake.

Florence seems to be skirting on above us, north of us here, so far anyway. Just light drizzle and no wind! Weather report says we are going to get hit with some nasty weather tonight in to early tomorrow morning. I will believe it when I see it. So far, no major problems with Florence here.
