Lol… the last wildfire I was at some of the firefighters made a beef jerky joke stand. Oh no, no, no…last night? That was 6 ribeyes we hung away from bears!!!

Same as it’s been for the last week: warm, then cooler, with heavy heavy showers. Rinse and repeat about 5/6 times a day. About 18 Celsius average. Weird! Still, better than swealtering in the US and southern Europe.

Love that you notice this! Very few people notice when the weather is frangible, fragile, volatile, spooked, unsettled, settling. It speaks to fantastic situational awareness. Being aware of multiple meteorological systems and how well they’re playing together… or not!
Side benefit of hypervig shifting towards vigilance, if it’s not a natural inclination.
Means you’d probably make a fantastic sailor, by the by. Able to adjust to changing conditions just before you’d need to, which gives you time to do so. Makes it look like magic to those who have to wait for the actual change.

My dad was an apiarist. I used to get to mow the bee yard. Bees are amazing weather predictors, and even a thunderstorm 100 miles away? Gets them riled up and they will attack the lawnmower (and anything nearby). So I learned to watch the weather for patterns....because knowing the weather is right for thunderstorms, and not mowing when they are pissed off because of bad weather is way better then picking 20-30 stingers out of your ankles and socks.
