Current Weather

We apparently skipped spring and went right into summer. Currently it's hot and muggy. 89 and sunny. I'm not complaining because I wait 8 months for this.

On an island that has sea mist cover the whole place regularly. Is kind of etheral, but magical, everywhere muted colours, and seeing the mist creeping along the land is amazing.

Snow, ice and a cutting wind. A brief glimpse of the sun before it was smothered by brooding grey clouds.

I'm at my mothers home with wood fires burning in the main areas and a old fashioned wood fire cooker underpinning all of my cooking needs and keeping me warm too. The dogs are curled up in their respective safe spaces looking like they'll see out the winter without moving.

Tomorrows forecast is the same. Cut n paste!

It is a gorgeous day. High of 83F with sunny skies. The humidity finally took a rest.Getting ready for my besties outdoor wedding reception. Should be beautiful.

Cold, wet, & muggy.

Pretty much the almost-opposite of South Carolina in the summertime.

Grey, angry clouds. The sun has taken it's leave. Cold windy blasts coming and going. Barely into the teens for a max temp today. But I spent the day cooking slow foods because it was just the type of weather that inspires me to do.

It is a sunny 79-degree day here, with 8 mph winds. I love it as long as there is shade nearby. lol

Really cold, grey moody days. Just a whisper of sunshine but rapidly scuttled by large cloud banks moving in and and away. Not much rain, hardly any. But it is around here and there so perhaps we'll get lucky soon. The snow seasons have commenced with a bit of bang but not many people can get away to enjoy.. covid is keeping the snow bunnies scared.

Tornado warning and touchdowns tonight. The kitties and I are safe - storms have moved through after a harrowing hour or so.

Beautiful crisp, cold day covered over with icy blue sky. Overnight frost, ice, fog and below zero.
