The wind blew all the rain away!!! Yay!!!

(Also skewer kebab’d several cars with tree branches, and barraged us with pine cones like fist sized rocks. Not my cars, and not my head, so we’re all good. Even if the insurance payout might’ave been nice!.)

It’s now glassy smooth & calm on the black water, the autumn colours bleeding across it like a mirror, under a stark white sky.

We got a dusting of snow overnight and I got the outside Christmas lights up yesterday just in time.

I know that there is a terribly huge cyclone in Australia. I hope all are safe.

Here in the States, we have had a huge winter storm sweep across the central and eastern part of the country. Particularly bad in Chicago and I know we have members there.

Massive wind storm overnight and during the day combined with very heavy rain. Power including street lights out in different places and trees blown down and on wires everywhere so roads closed.

I took advantage on the way home and collected pine branches of the type I know to be very fragrant and full of sap and made my own potpourri. I cut a live Christmas tree but for whatever reason it has little or no fragrance. I more than made up for that . I’m sticky but it smells nice and I have plenty more to grind up.
