I am from the other side of Australia where we have a terrible drought and have had temperatures of over 40 degrees. We did have a smaller cyclone hit us last weekend, but minimal damage in comparison. So all the flooding in Queensland is pretty foreign to us!

Hi I'm from Perth left in May this year, hope to go back next year. Like you said 2011 has been a horror year from Australia weather wise. My family live mainly in QLD. Ipswich in particular and had to go through the floods, but came out alright. Then we had all the bush fires and Perth had a couple of mini tornadoes (mini!!) In Ellenbrook all the tree's in the pine forest snapped like twigs and fell all over the road. People lost roofs of their houses and double garage doors were blown inward. It was shocking. Plus of course the flooding and the storms that ripped through the top North.

And the Brits grind to a halt at the first sign of snow! Hope all our Ausie cousins stay safe this winter.

Looking forward to Tuesday with a high of 72 degrees. :p ..........might not get many more of those this year, so I'm gonna enjoy it!!!

We're into classic fall weather out here, getting chilly at night. Brisk mornings, sunny days and a nice dusting of snow on local mountain tops. No complaints.

It is dull and grey here too KP.

But when I went out this morning for bits and pieces, it smelt stunning. I mean real clear and fresh. Autumn leaves everywhere fresh.

I wish we could bottle the smell for days when we can't go out out, for what ever reason.

Started out grey but now the sun is out and the present temp is 63 F or 17 C.

Sun went down then got very foggy.

Yesterday and today could not have been more beautiful. Mid to upper 60's and sunny. I don't expect very many more days like this!! Just went for a short walk with the pup and could smell the fall leaves. Wish I could bottle today and open it again in February when we are buried in snow.
