there is a strange bright orb in a blue sky.

Ooo KP, that thing is here too, you don't think it is another meteor do you?

Blue sky's all weekend although it is still cold. Waiting for the lambs to be born at the local farms. The Snowdrops are flowering in my garden and I've seen Crocus and Daffodils flowering too. Spring is on it's way!

I saw some lambs last week in Cheshire. Plus I found a lonely crocus in my lawn today.

Today is a beautiful spring day. Clear blue skies and sunshine.

Well, the day started well enough--windchill was 22 degrees. Figured I'd better get Bernie out for his walk while the getting was good, so we set out at 7:30 this morning for that. Two hours later the windchill dropped to 7 degrees.

Right now the windchill is -14 degrees (winds gusting up to 40 mph). Overnight lows expected to reach windchill value of -26 degrees. Blowing snow will give us near zero visibility. I think only Barrow, Alaska is worse.

Around here, the winds are howling. The high temp expected for the day is -2, with a windchill factor of -30. National weather service calls it "blustery".
