This morning & afternoon...

Wildfire.
Dark at 2pm from the smoke. Wind coming up the valley over 130-140 degF. Poured buckets over me'self every 20 minutes or so for about 5 hours in the car. ROFL packed my knickers with ice! I had so forgotten that trick. Plain water dried in about 5 minutes, but the ice melting stretched it to 20.
Not dangerous. Just bloody hot. And gritty.

Couple hundred miles south, now. Maybe an hour outside of the haze, couple hours away from the heat.
Blissfully rainy and cool.
I usually hate the rain. Not today.
