Do You Ever Get "Nervous Energy?"

I get this, and it always brings with it a frantic desire to do something--to go out with friends, go shopping, clean, undertake a gardening project...it can be used productively, but it usually means I'm avoiding something deeper emotionally. Now I try to pause and be still with myself.

I felt nervous energy when I was taking Reboxetine so I stopped it and changed back to Cymbalta.

2quilt,

LOL!!! I had a lot of "nervous energy" from taking Cymbalta! I would walk for hours, clean house, shop, etc after only 2 hours of sleep at night, and then at the end of the day, I would sit jabbering on the phone to anyone who would listen. Then stayed up most of the night watching TV, chewing on stuff like gum, Starbursts, caramels, etc while I fidgeted ...drumming fingers, tapping my feet, etc. Drove everyone in the house, including myself, totally crazy!!! After tapering down from 30 mg. to 3 mg. per day, I am finally off completely...just couldn't take the jitters anymore!!

You've probably already looked into this, She Cat, but if you're on any medications, your tolerance level can change over time and might be affecting you...just a thought...

Hi red,

Nope, I am not on any meds, so that isn't an issue. But thanks for the info. Still on my lovely high, waiting to crash and burn. I know it's coming, just not sure when.....LOL!!!!!!
