I am glad to hear surgery is over. Hope you are all well and as always you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please give Evie a big hug for me too.

Thank you all, Evie is now out of intensive care. She was removed to a regular ward earlier this afternoon, and if she continues to do well, we may be able to take her home tomorrow. Fingers crossed! She is in very good spirits. Her pain is being managed superbly and I believe that makes all the difference. The staff even complimented us on how pleasant and uncomplaining she is! Curious, the nurse the joked with me that the sickest patients usually complain the least! Evie's two "roommates" in the hospital are healthy other than having the surgery (no cancer or other major concerns) and bless them, they were complaining nonstop whilst Jim and I were visiting Evie, and running the nurses ragged with requests.

In any event, thank you once again for all your wishes. Although we obviously haven't heard the results of the tumour testing yet, we are hopeful about it and are delighted at Evie's good mood. More tomorrow, I seem to be having a very slow internet connection tonight, likely due to the current forum upgrades.

That is great news Kathy. I'm so glad to hear it is going well.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for returning home tomorrow and for the results!

Awesome news! Thank you for keeping us updated. Hope you all have a restful night and safe return home.

Thank you ladies. It is delightful to come here and read the good wishes, makes my day so much easier to cope with! Well for today's update, Evie continues to do splendidly well, though due to the amount of blood loss she experienced, they wish to keep her in hospital and on IV fluids for one more day. If all goes well, we will be taking her home tomorrow morning.

Evie continues to be in very good spirits, as I mentioned her pain is well-managed and I believe she is also simply relieved to have the surgery over with. She is eating and drinking very well, sleeping well with few nightmares, and a little over-anxious to do things on her own! All very positive signs however.

It is interesting also, this morning we were informed that one of the tumours in the sinus cavity closest to the brain was growing very rapidly and in fact causing some pressure build-up on Evie's frontal lobe. The surgeon theorizes that tumour may have been effecting Evie's ability to control her emotional states. Not to say she will have no anger issues now, far from it, however he feels she may have a bit more control over them after this, which is tremendous news! I only hope he is correct, time will tell I suppose.

All positive news! I'm so glad to hear she is doing well and in good spirits.

I also hope the surgeon is correct and it helps her with her emotion regulation. That would be wonderful!

Oh and Bec - I mentioned the pancakes to Evie, and she laughed, then explained to me what you were talking about. Very funny Bec, I encouraged Evie to try it once we return home.

Kathy,

It's wonderful that Evie's feeling better already. I'm sure she'll feel even better once she gets home. I'm sure everyone will feel better to get home.

I hope that what the surgeon says is correct and that it helps her with her emotions.

Thanks for the updates.
