What it says in the title. I'm dissociated and numb to the point I'm afraid I wont go in. Saying I don't care but really I know in reality I do. Any tips on how to ground? By trying to study I just panic and then dissociate even more. Time is running out.
Maybe you could work on some self soothing, do something that comforts you in order to help yourself ground, and then when you are more grounded you can get back to studying?
Hiya, yeah I am. Thanks for your reply. I suppose sometimes when I'm self-soothing I feel guilty because I feel like I'm just wasting time. I'm normally quite good with exam pressure. I think its just been a particularly rough few months with everything so I don't feel like I'm doing anything properly, and then two weeks of exams at the of it. Hopefully I'll have time to look after me again once they're over :-)
Getting through uni with ptsd is quite the ordeal, self-soothing is really not wasting time, if it helps you to study more effectively and have less stress. I hope your exam went well!
