Hey Guys

Went to a public swimming with the unit at the hospital with the little kids and the nurses. I thought i was doing alright with there being older men in the swimming pool with young kids.

But after a about 15 minutes i found myself crying and shaking and had to leave..

I feel humilated..

There is NO reason to feel humiliated at all.

You missed your BIG SUCCESS! You need to Look at the time you DID stay in the pool! That you got in at all is a success! The time you did remain in there is also a success. Progress is good. Be proud of the progress you are making.Baby steps get you to your destination just as good as big steps.

Don't be humiliated, look at the bright side you went into the pool and gave it a try. Be proud of yourself for that.

Are you working on the trauma with your nurse?

Try to determine what makes you react that strong. This way you can learn to understand and prevent your reactions.

I know how you feel, and I'm truly sorry :( My trigger used to be this simple, I would see a man walking with his little girl...I had the same reaction as you did at the pool. All I can say Karma is full circle, and whoever hurt you will get theirs. Don't let these dark times hold you down, you can overcome sweetie, you WILL prevail. Much love and many blessings to you
