I am having zero luck fooling around with photo shop programs by myself.

The thing is, I'd like to keep my Kimmie doll as my avatar. I see most have begun to use something else for now, which is of course cool but mine is pretty symbolic for me- means a HUGE, big deal, was extraordinarily healing and seriously sent from the Universe at a time when the word 'Sister' was/is a painful and awful reminder that people can just plain haul off and hurt you deliberately, with agendas, with apparent relish. Shattering has been too dismissive a word. I might be able to process all the WHYS- the betrayals just plain baffle me beyond comprehension or my ability to accept them as even a learning tool. Handed them all over to God with the note " Please take this mess of dreck and blood- it's dripping through my fingers and making a mess on the carpet, Sincerely, Annie " I may not have the sheer time to BE a good sister to those here, but they're here nontheless, to be sure. it's deeply comforting. One of the weapons in my sisters' arsenols 'out here' is taking my family away from me, en mass- 'That'll show her, and our 81 year old mother'. Which it did. I got reminded they simply do not matter, took their power away in one teeny package. That package is going to remain my avatar in HUGE gratitude, celebration and reminder- like to change her up occasionally.

Anyway, CB SOOO cool, photoshopped the Evie Christmas avatar. I'd LIKE to do one now with Evie just standing in front of one of my Trees of Life, doesn't matter how much of the tree is visible. The Klimpt tree is wonderful- just have NOOOO idea how this is acheived. hence the whining. No, am not at all hinting for anyone to DO this for me. If anyone would LIKE to, yes pelase, have at it! Otherwise the step-by-step would be nice, hence the whining.

If no one is up to any of this, I SOOOO understand, Life is BUSY for all of us. Just thought I'd ask, and use God's name shamelessly, like he had some part in the whole thing.

Anni, You are not whining at all. You are validating! Keep at it.

I am on cell phone but when I get on computer I will look at your comment and see about directions. It would help if you could send the whole pic to my inbox. I use several different programs.
Hugs, Whitney

That's awfully, awfully kind of you, Whitney! Thank you very much. For some reason, I'll get into these programs and my head just keeps going down the wrong path, you know? No matter what I try- POOF- all sense is GONE. I DO think most of us really can figure most of this stuff out, given time and a chance but computer stuff? Do not know why, it's just not there!

Anyway, thanks much, appreciate it!

Anni, You are not alone with computer stuff! I have a student that I am teaching genealogy programs.

I am slowly teaching the actions of steps. The brain needs to know why things happen as much as knowing what button to push. The fast screen movements cause her anxiety, I have to warn her the page will flip.

She is getting much better, where she had just given up before. Everyone functions how they have learned.

1, In Photo shop you open the tree (or back ground layer of choice).

2, Open the image you want to add (in this case the doll), right click and select 'copy'.

3, Right click on your background image and select 'paste as new layer' or just ' paste' (depending what version your using.

4, Then using the rubber tool, rub out the areas around the doll (or image of choice) so the background layer (tree) shows through.

5, Save it.

6, You can experiment with resizing, adding brushes or borders etc

Here's one I made for you using my phone, hope its ok:
