Hello everyone, just thought I'd write my first post and say hello to everyone. I'm OIF ('06-'07). So I've been back for a while now. Main thing that bothers me is anger, crowds and supermarkets (sounds funny when I'm writing supermarkets, but I cannot stand them). Seems like good vibes and great advice on here so thought I'd join. Thanks all!

welcome guam... ironic my best cruise was on the USS Guam with 26th MEU... (green side, I was a navy medic tho) getting a lot of OIF/OEF vets here lately but honest dont matter what conflict we served in we all got some good words to say... got some people that have pulled my ass out of the fire more than once here..

Sit back and get to know everyone you will find this is one big dysfunctional family here.. but hey. it works for us!

I must admit that emotion hits me hard from time to time. It is that silly voice saying "run away old soldier"..... and run away I do!

Nonetheless, I am less fearful of crowds when I am carrying my .45 ACP (Colt Combat Commander). No, I'm not about to go on some shooting rampage. I went through the my state's licensing for a concealed carry permit... You Brits, Aussies and Canucks may not understand and / or approve, but the right to bear arms is deeply ingrained in the American psyche. There is nothing like having a little "back-up" ready at hand in case the shit hits the fan.
