My PTSD is from childhood. Bullied at school and beaten at home. I do quite well in most physical work settings with a lot happening as long as I have something to focus on or problems to figure out on the fly. I am horrible if people try to do my thinking for me, insert their own personal agenda into my space/bullied, Brow beaten or overly pushed(I can manage a lot), Not respected or remotely feel manipulated! I'm great at my job and have been doing it a long time but need to find something a bit more structured or scheduled. I work in an environment that is too controlling at times but can be awesome for me as well as I have adrenaline needs and it's financially rewarding. The money is good but I'm quite frivolous at times of being stressed with any of the previously mentioned situations. It's a unique job and setting but I've been considering a change as well where as I can make decent pay and have a bit of risk so that I can focus and don't have to deal with egos. I can manage lots of stress but need to feel like an equal contributer. Even considering getting back to school so any advise there as well is welcome

We are all different. I'm not sure what to suggest but most TAFE and uni's have Career Counsellors that are willing to work through these questions with you at no cost. I think Centrelink offers it to but you'd probably have to be not working to qualify? Maybe it's worth making an appoint at your nearest TAFE or Uni to see what they can offer to help you make a decision. Good luck

You sound like EMT or other first responder material to me, though straight EMT doesn't pay that well. Or maybe lineman for a power company (nothing like the possibility of electrocution to keep you on your toes.) Fishing "can" pay well, and often requires some risk. Maybe logging? Don't know how that pays. Those are the first things off the top of my head.:geek:
