I'm not trying to dodge your question here, so apologies if it sounds that way. But I think that when we acquire habits that are coping mechanisms, we can't easily get rid of those habits until we adopt new habits and/or lower our level of stress. I don't know how feasible either is for you, like if you can add in making collages or something to self-soothe.
Also, I don't know what self-talk you have about your bad habits, but I doubt it's going to help you shake those habits. The more you can accept "this is what I'm doing to cope right now," the more in shape you will be to work through the stress and anxiety. It really doesn't help to think "why do I do these silly things? What's wrong with me? I'm a weirdo!"
