How Do You Stop Going Crazy With Money?

Not really a problem I've had in a long time.

Or ever.

But I'd go cash-only & separate where is which cash, plan helluva lot to the details of it and make sure these plans have only minimal extra spending allowance, and determine about each item if it's a Need or if it's a Want list.

So many things wanted, aren't needed. So many needed items may be more expensive than thought of - or waaay much cheaper if one thinks of a way around it, depending.

Yea! that's what I do, I've never owned a credit card, in fact it was the bank manager who got me start using a debit card, way back in the 70s, I was earning good money back in those days.

I'm back on my feet financially now, but I was left totally broke, homeless and jobless after the divorce, which cost me 68K, and house that I have paid the mortgage off?

I just use cash now the same as CJ, but I use Pay-Pal to pay for the stuff I buy on line.

My huge problem these days, other than my spending spreee that I did on Friday due to my friend's death on Weds, is that I owe huge (for me) medical bills. I owe one hospital about $1,200.00 (just paid $50.00 of it before all these financial problems hit me). I have a bunch of other medical bills that keep coming in every month, some from awhile back, and some that are new. I was in the Hospital 4 times last winter. It all adds up! The local hospital gave me 90% off my bills, but no so with the mental hospital. And I was in that last one for 8 days! I know I can pay small amounts on these bills and not be sued, but I want to get them off my back and paid up! I just think I may have paid a bit too much on that $1,200.00 one. I think I shall be sending them smaller payments from now on. $50.00 per month is just to high a price for my budget!

I don't want to "like" that post because it's a truly shit place to be. We're very tight financially this month too but will be ok and have a plan to get on top of things again. Money problems are one of the things guaranteed to make me panic, I feel your pain.

Well, the grocery store guy told me this morning that I have $79.00 in Food Stamps left on my card, which I was surprised about. I thought maybe I had $45-50 on it. So that helps a little. Every dollar counts this month!
