@WhiteHatGirl While it's possible to have a autoimmune disease that targets the inner ear. I don't think that's what causes me to get this.
Autoimmune diseases are generally progressive, which does not fit my experience. It's actually gotten a bit better since I started this thread.
Though I still get the severe high/low tone volume disruption from time to time, overall the tinnitus has decreased.
I also do not suffer from any other form of autoimmune disease, nor is there a family history of which I am aware.
Good thinking though, it is certainly possible someone else could be though.

@JadesJewel I believe they are referring to the screening process used to identify autoimmune disease.
Usually a blood test, which looks for elevated levels of white blood cells, antibodies and or enzymes from the liver or kidneys.
Sorry if you already know all that. Not trying to sound patronising or anything.
