Britt, if it is any consolation: my daddy was a plumber. He didn't ever call folks to say he'd be late, because there was no way to know how long his first job of the day would take, nor was even his first job's time predictable, since he may have been up late the night before finishing off a tough job that had turned out to be more time consuming than expected. I remember him saying things like, I'll TRY to be there this afternoon, but I cannot guarentee that, or I can't be sure of that now, since I don't know how long this job will take, etc. I hope this may put things into a more possible and positive perspective for you.

If they told me this I would have understood. But I got up early, pretty sure my appointment was one of the first if not the first(my appt. was scheduled between 8-9a.m.). He finally called me after the time he was suppose to be there by. It did take him about 2 hours to do the work here. Maybe he was more thorough since he knew he was late. He fixed a problem I knew we must have had, despite what the help desk had been telling me.

All's good now. I did get a nap. Thank you Sheila for the insight. :)
