I Feel Like Its Me Against The World

I sometimes think that everyone is laughing at me either behind my back or to my face. I feel like no matter what I've accomplished or do accomplish i will never get their respect and like I shouldn't bother anymore. I don't want to feel this way but I do. I know this is irrational but it's the way I feel. What can I do to rechannel my energies in a different way and have a better perspective?
 
kman99 - I go through phases like this too. Where I genuinely feel like everybody is looking at me and nobody is understanding a word I'm trying to say. They're all picking on me and ganging up on me behind my back. As I've moved through treatment I've realised how absolutely wrong I was about that on so many occasions. A lot of it was my negative thought process which led to many an assumption.

It's a combination of things for me that is helping to reverse this. Top of the list has been a whole lot of therapy. Medication's definitely an option. Practicing mindfulness. All these things can help to change that way of thinking and build your self esteem in the process. If you're working with a therapist they should be able to build a program that caters to your needs and moves you along at a pace which is comfortable for you when you're feeling especially guarded.
