great job, @mamasbeensilent2long! Way to go. A PHP has been a lifesaver for me a few times, I really agree with @Justmehere and hope it can be the same for you. Also, on the not wanting to tell people front: you actually don't have to. It's really OK to say "health issue" and "details private" and "time sensitive". I find that if you're a woman and say those things, people are just as likely to think it's your womanly bits that you are having attended to.

Your details are your business. I kept things secret for over 20 years, I really identify with that feeling of needing to control the information, and of telling being such a new thing. Just understand that you've done nothing wrong, and you deserve help.
