Listening to Pink Floyd reading this thread which is great by the way. I am thinking and mine is very strange. If I could and PTSD was not the issue I would love to go back and do the job I was born to do.
Field Artillery I loved every aspect of it and the people involved in it.

2nd choice would be a history teacher teching the truth of history not revised by "scholars".

An artist and scholar. I may actually manage the scholar part - by some miracle I managed to get my MA and will likely be going for a PhD next September - but the arts have always been what makes me tick, and even my scholarly interests seem to lie in researching things that feed into my artwork...

Or: I would love to be a game-writer. I don't know if that's the real term for them, but I mean the people who write the stories & scripts for video games. I just think games could be such an awesome medium for storytelling and expression... as long as someone else handles the programming and such, haha!

In the UK before we got the lotto we had the football pools.
You chose ten games and if eight were draws you won. But the best thing was you didn't know how much you won until a few days later.
There was someone whose job it was to knock on the door and tell people how much they had won!

I'm pretty lucky........I'm a natural resource scientist, so I hike and get paid for it.........but the other stuff is cool to.

But ever since I can remember, I've wanted to be a writer; D.H. Lawerence, Henry Miller, all the great poets..........

Billionaire sounds good too.....but I think the guilt would overcome me and I'd be driven to help someone besides myself.

Luckily I'm already doing it!

I'm a Teaching Assistant in a Primary school teaching 4-7 yr olds. I enjoy every minute despite my PTSD!

I would have a bakery shop - cakes, cookies, & pies - and learn how to make lots of other things. I don't know a thing about decorating but want to learn, and I love making things that taste good, things that are a bit decadent.

Lawyer, it was always my calling. Legal matters and law always came naturally to me. I used to love beating traffic tickets in court, and watching the grinning cops who thought it was funny that I was surely going to lose, look bewildered when I tripped them up on the stand and the judge ruled in my favor. This happened more than once. I really enjoyed winning against men in uniform, or anyone in authority trying to punish me. But that's not why I wanted to be a lawyer. It's a power job, meaning protection, no one can hurt you when you know the law. Knowledge is power.

I couldn't say I didn't warn them. I told them when they pulled me over, give me that ticket and you'll get a blimish on your record when I defeat you in court. It was a rush like none other when I did it. Too bad I never had the money for law school.

I would farm full time. Go all out old style. No engines, electricity, or other so called "conveniences". Which are only convenient when they work. Just stay on the farm with the family and enjoy getting dirty and sore. Sleep good. Sweat good. Smell shit, and hay and watch the kids and critters run around. That's my dream job.

I would love to be inherently wealthy and volunteer my time with charities. Mostly charities that help aid children. I would love love to work in a 3rd world country and help those in need. I would love to forget about everything materialistic and live in a hut, never do my hair, wear comfy clothes and just be who I am helping others who are less fortunate and make a difference. :-)
