Spongebob, I can certainly understand not wanting to get "involved in the system", or I'm just assuming that may be the case?
I've discussed this with my brother who is a veteran and ,like myself, is not just experiencing the endless nightmares but other issues. We had differed on our outlook regarding therapy, although he has finally been diagnosed, grudgingly.
Does getting a diagnosis make a difference? It truly depends on the person and how willing they are to take the steps from there. Nobody can make you take medications, you do not lose the right to do your homework on treatment alternatives and studies. A diagnosis is a starting place, it can open doors to answers.
