Hi Holybeans,

Good for you for standing up to my opinion. It is just my opinion. I did not consider maybe you just sending the email is sort of relief for you. Do what is best for you and I truly hope you feel some peace prior to your surgery. I was more or less looking from the point of view of the therapist and depending on how far (time wise) she/he is, waking up to your message and not being able to help you because it could be few hours too late or she/he could choose not to respond.

I thought that way because I have a dog and I travel often and sometimes I really dislike having my dog sitters sending me emails about difficult issues (but issues they can deal with it alone) about my dog and I find out like next day because I am the other side of the globe...this experiences clouded my thinking.

Do what is best for you but also hopefully you will manage your expectation if the therapist chooses not to respond or responds way too late while you are still in gripping anxiety. I do not know how you feel but it sounds serous and I take back my opinion.

All the best both waiting for your surgery and for your recovery.

@grit - you don’t need to “take back” your opinion; you are entitled to it. Members post here to gain different perspectives and it’s up to them to take bits and pieces of responses that will help them. I understand where you’re coming from and truly appreciate the support. Thank you for considering my point of you as well.
