What about is you developed a flier of some sort, and sent it to people who might hire someone in your line of work and asked them what they like and don't like about the performance of people in your line of work?
Hmm...not sure how this would relate to my work....I offer a free sample session so that people can see/feel what it's like working with me and we can both see if we feel like a good fit. Then we agree how we'll work together and that's an on-going process really. It's very much about what we both put into the relationship and the dynamic the pair of us create in the partnership. A bit like therapy in that respect, I guess.
So people who've never worked with someone in my role before - they often don't know what to expect or may have misconceptions. And people who have - well, they get to road test me for a free session....
So perhaps the answer is to spread fliers around the town advertising the free sample sessions...?
