They announced the results of the international investigation into the downing of MH17 today. I'm not really surprised -- verdict is the BUK missile used came from Russia, was fired from rebel-controlled territory.

Any time the story of MH17 comes up, I become incredibly sad. Nearly 300 people killed for nothing, absolutely nothing. I had to sift through the photos from the scene and they were absolutely horrific. Still can't get those images out of my head. There were young children on board that plane.

Would write more but I'm already tearing up just thinking about it.

What happened is absolutely horrible. I agree that the conclusion is no surprise, that theory was already thought up days after the disaster and there's plenty of evidence to support it. The only surprise here is that this conclusion was actually published, as it'll probably piss off Putin. I say kudos to those researchers.

Casey03, I really feel your pain. My trauma was caused by an aircrash inwhich two men that I knew died. I had to identify them whilst they were still in the wreckage and it was horrendous, truly horrendous. I won't ever get those images out of my head either. I have awful flashbacks and nightmares about it regularly. I really do feel for you.
