I still have not had a chance to watch it, however I did record it. It's just been rather busy but will post back here when I do.
:occasion:

saveavet, my DVR recorded the wrong episode, but it's on again Tuesday and I'll see it then.

What did YOU think of it?

To be honest i think it could have shown a little bit more of the good progress were making with the charity, but It didnt show me in negative light i felt so it could be a lot worse. I missed quite a bit of it, i was so nervous and was watching it with family so i kept walking out of the room or trying to crack jokes to lighten the mood. I need to watch it again. All the feedback i ve gotten from it has been positive, but it would be nice to hear form you guys, people that are familiar with ptsd and not just seeing it for the first time.

I watched it, I thought you and the other 2 veterans did a great job. I am proud of all 3 of you. MTV produced it in a way that did not put any of you in a bad light. The TV showed how each of you are struggling to cope with life after combat, in addition to PTSD.
I could identify so much with the day to day, and minute by minute struggles which were brought to life by the show.
My wife and I watched it together, she also got a lot out of it.
I was impressed with the amount of energy you have, as well as your efforts to be helpfull to others, in regards to your involvement with the Hurricane Ike relief efforts, and with your efforts to try to build a new kind of treatment center for treating veterans with PTSD.
I am a fellow Texan, and I have been to Round Rock numerous times. If there is anyway I can be of assistance, I want you to get in touch with me.

Adam,

I can not express how happy I was in this post when I watched your show. I live in the DFW area, but I would very much like to come visit the Round Rock area. You have tremendous strength for doing the show, as do the other two fellow veterans who put it out there. I just want to shake your hand and give you a heartfelt hug for your contributions to your community. I look forward to talking with you in the future.

All three of the vets were brave to let someone follow them around and film them. So thanks, saveavet! This is the first time I've ever see anyone else with PTSD. What really struck me was how restless all three were. And how, even when things are going 'good,' they are still hard--lack of sleep, urge to drink, difficulty staying with a job, etc.

You said you liked doing the relief work because it gave you something to focus on. I can relate to that--I feel 'okay' when I'm working a lot, but when I have down time? Forget it, I'm a mess.

Thanks for all yalls support! the response has been amazing so far. everyone has been really supportive and everyone wants to help out the cause. Seems like there were thousands of people out there just looking for a cause like this to latch on to.
