The sports club were most of the abuse happened has rung me and told me if I publicly speak about the clubs mistakes and letting a pedophile coach then they will hire a lawyer.

This is amazing these are the people that knew this person had been charged before with a crime against a child but got of on a technicality and had heard the rumouirs that he was a pedophile and one of the committe had been offended agaist by this guy. then they let him coach young boys.

So they helped a pedophile do his damage. I come out and tell the truth and now those same would take me tocourt ??????

The world is just not right.

Dear Harry,

I want to thank you again for your courage. To have to face him in court - it is understandable that this brought up all kinds of emotions. What this club does in trying to stop you from speaking out loud is a crime! If I was you, I would consultate a lawyer, in whether they can at all do anything against you saying the truth and with this info i would call a local newspaper. There are some legal "tricks" to say the truth... the journalist could report like "it is said" or with, normally they also know about these tools to say the truth but not being sueable for it.

It is such a shame what these people do, my heart feels for you! Don't give in, please!!!

Oh, by the way: in the netherlands just now: a case where a swim-teacher has sexually abused over the years about 100 victims - it IS necessary to speak up on your experiences!

Well 2.5 weeks till he appears in court again. hvae had the weekend to myself as i have been having bad symptoms , so my wife and kids have gone away for the weekend, so i can have just dead silince for a couple of days , try to come down to real world

Update. He has pleaded guilty to all charges from 7 of us. Sentencing is in the morning, so not long and I will be sitting in the same room and watching him go to prison. they think he will get around 5 years. What a joke.

Typing here the night before, mind racing. Going to be a big day.

You are helping so many victims not just of this man, but victims of this type of crime. We need people like you in this world. Yes you should be proud of yourself for facing this scum bucket in court. I very much resent that victims have to do this. I was an adult who was abused, and it was beyond awful so cannot imagine how much more dreadful it is for you.

This *sswipe thinks he still has power over you, and will discover that despite your terror, you'll help send him to prison anyway. It's some satisfaction knowing he'll be quite unpopular in that particular institution.

Harry, I think you are a hero. It takes real guts and courage to face him down.

Remember that this guy will now be a convicted sex offender. Convicted sex offenders go on a registry. They are tracked for the rest of their life. Every parent that I know knows where every one of them lives in our neighborhood. In our state, they are required to put warnings on their doors at Halloween and are not allowed to participate in Trick-or-Treat. (That also is a very clear reminder of where they are.)

The only thing that ever bothered me about the sex offender registry is that the drunken frat boys who get arrested for urinating in public are also put on the list. I guess there's no good dividing line for crimes.

I agree that 5 years seems too light considering there are at least 7 willing to come forward and probably 5x that number watching in the sidelines with their story. But I bet the prosecution plea-bargained him down to an airy light sentence to avoid the trial. I suspect that he was facing 5+ years for each count against him.
