My Son Is Moving Out With Mates

It was just on 30 years ago that I left home, but under different circumstances.

Today I wish I hadn't left like I did, and put her through all that hell. I'm sorry mom.

Nicolette, be glad that he is starting to spread his wings, and whats the bet he comes home for at least one proper meal this weekend!! ;) But I can just imagine when my son does the same... It'll be tears too :cry:

((((Nicolette)))) My daughters are still young teens - my oldest goes from the junior high to the high school next year and I keep crying about that. You want your child to be successful and live a happy life, but selfishly you still want them with you too. Oh....this parenting job is the hardest and "bestest" job in the world!!

((((((((Nicolette))))))) I am anticipating crying through L's graduation from preschool in July, so I can only imagine:cry: although I'd prefer not to.

Since I watch the other side teaching college - I have to tell you it is AMAZING all the things they learn moving away from home.

Also, many thanks for raising a good boy and letting him go on to become a good man. Maybe it is different where you are, but there are too few of those on the ground around here to suit me.:tup: Way to go!

He's a lucky guy, to have such a wonderful Mother. I have no doubt that he will do great, out in the big wide world, (and he'll always need his Mum for something or other, along the way!).

I think the only solution to your tears right now, is to insist that your husband spoils you rotten for several days, if not several weeks (or even months! - okay I'm running for cover now ;))

You will eventually get used to the peace and quiet and continue to be very proud of him. As others have said your relationship will develop and change - but sending you lots of ((((hugs)))) ,while you adapt to your new situation.
