Canadian health care is good for many things but mental health isn't one of them.

I had a general practitioner, he left.

I had a regular psychiatrist, he left.

I have been relying on walk in clinics and emergency rooms but they don't help. I keep getting referred to the wrong place. It's frustrating.

This is a regular occurance in Canada even ER physicians tell me that.

I never see the same doctor twice anymore. I was doing well when I had a regular doctor and psychiatrist. Any other Canadians have experience with this and how did you rectify it?

Same. I've had my psych, I grew out of the program. I'm with another now, but I've still no therapist. They see us for 15 minutes at a time, just to ask if the meds are okay, and then we leave. I always feel like I'm on an assembly line or something being assembled by them and then sent off on my way.

I'm not sure how to rectify it unfortunately. I just have to lean on whoever is there for me: my friends, my school counsellor, etc.

I don't really have anyone to lean on I live alone in a city I don't know many people. I've been trying for weeks to see someone.
