I have been looking at natural supplements for easing anxiety. Apparently there are over the counter medications available for anxiety/depression made up of all natural ingredients? One well known supplement is called Serelax, another is Zanaprin. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about these medications?

I think that breaking down an ingredient list for each would help as many of us have taken the individual components, but maybe not those exact pills.

For Serelax:
  • Gamma Amino Butyric Acid
  • Passionflower
  • Valerian Root
  • L-Theanine
  • Kava Root
  • Skullcap Root
  • Chamomile Flower
  • Jujube Fruit
  • Wood Betony
  • Griffonia Seed
Having trouble finding a complete list for Zanaprin other than Phenibut, L-Theanine and Taurine.

Are you still thinking about this? I've just seen it and it was over two weeks ago so maybe you've tried something now.

Of the ingredients listed, I find passionflower and valerian can be helpful for anxiety and stress. Also magnesium and B vitamins. The most effective over the counter mix for me is MyoComplex.

I don't know if you're open to this idea, but I go to a shop that sells them and "try out" different things by holding them in my hand. I have to take a moment, take a breath, close my eyes then focus on how holding one makes me feel. It's worth trying to see if you get a sense by doing this - I don't have any special abilities, it's just normal attunement that everyone has if they can connect to it. It's saved me spending money on things that wouldn't have any effect.

I meant to say - you always need to check for interactions with other herbs/supplements or with any medications that you take. Plus, "natural" remedies can also have side effects. St John's Wort made me feel really awful.

L-Tyrosine is fantastic, I can't say enough good things about it. It's an amino acid and is known to reduce stress, general anxiety, depression, etc. I take one everyday (sometimes two, one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and it has worked wonders!! I also take a melatonin on nights when I am having trouble falling asleep. That works great as well.
