Overcoming

Arrrrrgggghhh! Just when I'm having a decent day, laughing and enjoying my colleagues, it hits me. A wave of depression. It's like being ambushed, and I suddenly feel lifeless, with no mental or physical energy. It is beyond frustrating. How do you recover after plummeting like that?

@I'smom it really sounds like maybe even a thought related to a belief is what might have triggered this.

It can be hard to trace back, but the more you can trace and identify what what's going through your mind before you 'spiraled' the more it will help you find the root of the negative belief or whatever it was that preceded the anxiety.

You just identified that the "overwhelming sense of anxiety" came before the "wave of depression and emotional/physical drain". Can you think back to what your thoughts were right before the anxiety came?

I'smom, I can relate. It may be a fleeting thought or feeling, or a reaction to something that was said or done. Question: are you acutely aware of people's energy or 'vibe'? Like I can get this overwhelming feeling of crap even if nothing was said, but there is some kind of 'energy' there that I pick up on and it makes me feel horrible. Don't know if that is a thing, but wondering if you get that...
